Work stuff : Make a phone call from Everest ?

Dear blogger ;

A Report from Ubergizmo show that in a few month, we probably can make a phone call from the peak of Mount Everest. Here is the report :

Nepal’s largest telecommunications company, Nepal Telecom, is planning to set up cell phone towers that will cover Mount Everest. The highest antenna would be placed at an altitude of 5160 meters above sea level at Gorak Shep. This is going to give satellite phone companies a run for their money. Climbers will be able to place calls on the way and at the top of the peak. The installation work is expected to start around mid-June, supporting both GSM and CDMA. Up to 3000 calls can be handled at one time which I guess wont be an issue for climbers.

LONG LIVE EVEREST'S CLIMBERS....
