I-dosing, what the hell is it ?

Dear readers ;

A new term of addiction is found. After the term " dosing " for drug related addict, there are I-dosing for addiction for something you heard via internet streaming. What ? Hearing something can addict you ? Yes, at least what the website call I-Doser claim. ( Visit here ).

The website first description about I-doser is : I-Doser for the PC is the most advanced computer application available to achieve a simulated mood or experience through the use of binaural beats. Use I-Doser to play doses purchased through the I-Doser Store. Each dose is scientifically designed to give you the optimal measure of pure beats safely and effectively to induce state. Every download of the I-Doser application includes two free doses. ( read all the FAQ here )

The term they us is The Internet Recreational Drug. Wiki said that recreational drug is the us of psychoactive substance with intention of creating or enhancing recreational experience ( from Wikipedia ) They also claim that it really works and absolutely safe. Safe with a note : highly advisable not to operate heavy machine or drive. So, better hear Lady Gaga when you are at your Saturday night drive.

What is really I hear when listen to the Doser ?: only hisses and beeps. They call it binaural beats. And it can be use only with headphones and at soft pleasing level of volume. Computer, I-Phone, I-Pod and others gadget that can play MP3 is good for I-doser.

When you go their store ( here ), you need to download the software that already certified by cnet at download.com. I try to download this little application ( merely 7 MB ). While waiting, I browse the category and found a wide range of very appealing category. Such as sexual with sub category like aphrodisiac , orgasm or multipleO. And spiritual with sub category like lucid dream and chakra.

And their best sellers also very attractive and somehow disturbing : Orgasm, Marijuana, Ecstasy, Cocaine. A guide book is also available with 40 pages of manual.

Interesting thing that right now a total of 250 guests and 7 members are visiting the website. And this website

Many authorities warn parents about the effect of this I-dosing. Example from the city of Oklahoma : Oklahoma’s Mustang Public School district isn’t taking the threat lightly, and sent out a letter to parents warning them of the new craze. The educators have gone so far as to ban iPods at school, in hopes of preventing honor students from becoming cyber-drug fiends, News 9 reports.

And also : “Kids are going to flock to these sites just to see what it is about and it can lead them to other places,” Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs spokesman Mark Woodward told News 9.

I-dosing involves donning headphones and listening to “music” — largely a droning noise — which the sites peddling the sounds promise will get you high. Teens are listening to such tracks as “Gates of Hades,” which is available on YouTube gratis (yes, the first one is always free).

Well, I already finish my IDoser player download and also will download the first free dose that call " Gate of Hades " ( ouch it's a big file , nearly 35 MB ).

The report will be tomorrow.

Cheers ....
