Work stuff : New year, new career tracks.....

Dear blogger ;

Switching career ? It is not that hard. Many people also thinking of switching their career. The main reason probably is unhappiness in the current job. But there are also other reasons. Maybe you’ve discovered that your real passion lies elsewhere. Maybe you find that your current job doesn’t give you a sense of personal achievement or satisfaction. Or maybe you want a less stressful job so you can take better care of your family.

What ever your reasons are, don't get it carelessly. Career is like married. You can fail the first, but better not the second. Here is some good advice :

1. Be closer to the current job.

Different industry maybe need a totally different skills. Why not try to explore your own company/organization. Look for different field or tasks. Learn new things but still in the culture you are already familiar.

2. Go back to school.

Before switching, get a necessary skills/ knowledge for your future job is essential. Go back to school is not that bad. Many " open " courses with a flexible time for worker like you. With new diploma or even a degree, a new door of hope is opened.

3. Be truth to yourself.

Is the new career necessary ? Or is just an eruption of emotion ? If it necessary, let's prepare the safety net. Just in case the new one is not meet your expectation. Take a look at your savings and also your bills. Go carefully with that. For how long you can " hold your breath " until your new career finally harvest ? Get a deep discussion with your family and your close friends.

Conclusion : switching career may seems like a horror decision. But if you are fully ready for it, a new bright future may waiting for you.

Regards ;
