Fun stuff : Venice Beach California, a parade of artists.

Dear blogger ;

At Los Angeles California, you can't miss the Venice Beach. This is the most famous tourist spot here. You can do almost anything in this beach. Whether you're going to people-watch, biker or Rollerblade, work on your tan, go shopping for kitsch t-shirts and sunglasses, build some muscles, play basketball, practice some kind of performance art, play music, go surfing or just go for a stroll, this place welcomes all.

Venice Beach is a legendary place in California's colourful and quirky history. This is where Scharzenegger ( the latest governor ), originally sculpted his Terminator muscles during his day as a regular bodybuilder at the Muscle Beach.

When you can finally reached where the boardwalk was lined and packed with stalls and performers, you can see on one side, shops and " snack shops " sold all American favourites. From burgers and fries, to snow cones, corn dogs, milkshakes and tacos. Also colourful shops were selling cheap and cheeky t-shirts and costume jewellery from all eras.

The beach side of the boardwalk was crowded with street performers and independent artist, many of whom were clearly regulars. One man was sculpting large and elaborate creatures out of sand. Another was dressed in a silver suit, with a painted face and hands to match, and stood frozen like a statue holding his silver dog on a leash until someone would put a coin in his box.

The history of this beach came a long way to early twentieth century. When some tobacco millionaires had envisioned building this Californian resort town to be modeled after the Italian Venice with canals and all. Since then, the area had undergone highs and lows, all of which have made it one of the more resilient of Los Angeles attractions. It has been the location for a number of legendary movies. Including William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet, television serial Beverly Hills 90210 and Baywatch.

Truly this is where all aspect of tourism can be found and mix elegantly.

Regards ;
