Work fun : New year ... new beginning...new promises

Dear blogger ;

Happy new year for all of you. Wherever you are, the new year always bring new hopes. Hoping that tomorrow is better than today.

Some people celebrates the new year at bad condition. War at Gaza street and other African country still causing innocent casualties. Women and children dies or wounded. God please help them all.

But the rest of the world celebrating with smile. Auckland ( New Zealand ) is among the first of east country capital celebrating the new year. Sound of hundreds boat horn mix with firework at Auckland Tower.

Rolling to the west, the " New York Eye " is a main attraction at the USA. Also the firework at the London Bridge of England. Dubai however choose not to celebrating the new year in fiesta because so many victims of Israeli air strike at Gaza Straits. A wise decision.

On the top of all, economic condition is the main concern of all the country in the world. In this recession era, each country had to calculated their economic strength very carefully. Indonesia is also doing that. As a developing country with more than 200 million of citizens, economic turbulence is the worst condition that could happen here.

Our government yesterday announced the " Makro assumption for 2009 " as follow :

* Product Domestic Bruto 5.327 trillion rupiah
* Economic Growth 6 % ( lately change to 5,5 % as a moderate figure )
* Inflation 6,2 %
* Exchange rate 9.400 rupiah for 1 US Dollar
* SBI Rate 7,5 %
* Indonesian Oil 80 US Dollar / barrel
* Oil Lifting 0.96 US Dollar / barrel
* Coal trading 250 million ton

With this assumption and presidential election this year, we hope that we can jump over the obstacles and get back on track to be one of the Asians tigers.

Regards;
