Work stuff : CBHRM- Employee Selection Step 8

Dear blogger ;

Welcome back to the CBHRM file - employee selection.
As you remember, we have finished seven step of employee selection.
The first seven step are involving internal system and data.
We have not yet touch any outside data which came from our candidate out there.

Now at the eight step, we will begin to work with the candidate.
This step often define as IDENTIFY POTENTIAL CANDIDATES FROM THE " PRE ENTRY SHORT LISTS ".
The pre entry short lists it self is identify at the step 3 of the CBHRM - Employee selection.

In this step, we work with the short list we already made.
Look at the candidates curriculum's vitae deeply.
The usual first step is the work experiencing.
Find similarity with the position we offer.
This consist job and industry, also the size of the company.
Search for additional information regarding the candidate at the previous company.
But do not made a verification phone call unless you call the candidate first.

After satisfy with the work experience, the education and other information is our next concern.
Decide if the candidate education support his/her work, or he/she is a self learning people?
Also notice other additional education/courses he/she finished to support the job.
Achievement regarding education or work is also important to consider.

The last is the personal information.
For some job, the age and gender sometimes play an important roles.
Candidate marital status also may effect some " out of hometown " placement.

Don't rush at any of this three step.
Keep in mind that your are looking for the one who will work at least 5 - 10 years at your company.
It is our responsibility as an employer to give the candidate the best position and also to our company for not to chose the wrong people.
